As you may have heard, the journal Aquaculture is organizing a conference to celebrate its first 40 years (ended 2012) and to look into the future of R&D for the aquaculture industry http://www.aquaculture-conference.com
One theme for Production Section of the journal is “Interactions of aquaculture and the environment”. The keynote speaker for the session will be Professor Peter Edwards (Professor Emeritus, AIT, Thailand). The session will include 12-13 slots of 20 min for contributions, in addition to the keynote lecture and my overview.
As a scientist active in this field I would like to encourage you to submit an abstract for consideration in the program (instructions and details can be found on the conference website).
Contributions can be either retrospective in nature, highlighting past achievements and present state-of-the-art, or prospective, suggesting the ways to further advance the field. Of course, anybody can submit an abstract, and the best or most promising/interesting ones will be selected for oral presentation. Poster sessions will also be held.
